What is the difference between rest & motion?

Let us see each definition one by one 

Motion

Any body is said be in a state of motion, if it changes its position continuously with respect to its surroundings with the passage of time.

Example- a car running on a road, a bird flying etc

Rest

Any body is said to be at rest, if it does not changes its position with respect to its surroundings with the passage of time.
Example-  A pen lying on a table , a person standing on a road etc
