Basically hydrogen atoms gives few spectral lines when they are ionized.

The first line set that we get is LYMAN SERIES which lies in Ultraviolet Region
The second line set is BALMER SERIES which lies in Visible Region
The third line set is PASCHEN SERIES which lies in Infrared Region
The fourth line set is BRACKETT SERIES which lies in Near Infrared Region
The fifth line set is PFUND SERIES which lies in Far Infrared Region
