Poisson's Ratio & its unit

The ratio of lateral strain to longitudinal strain is called as poisson's ratio. 
it doesn't have any unit.

For homogeneous isotropic material,

Poisson's ratio is greater than or equal to -1 & less than or equal to 0.5
